Effect of Phosphorus and Sulphur on Growth, Protein Content, Yield and Economics of Black Gram (Vigna mungo L.)

To study the effect of phosphorus and sulphur levels on growth, protein content, yield economic profitability black gram production in, a field experiment was conducted during kharif season 2018-19 at Research Farm, School Agriculture, ITM University, Gwalior, (M.P.). The in factorial randomized block design with four (0 kg/ha (P0), 20 (P1), 40 (P2) 60 (P3)) along three Sulphur (10 (S1), (S2) 30 (S3)) which were replicated thrice. variety “Awasthi” uniformly fertilized by kg N/ha K2O / ha using Urea muriate potash. However, applied Single Super Phosphate Cossavet as per requirement treatments. results revealed that application @ recorded significantly highest plant height (37.12 cm) DAS, maximum number branches (6.33), leaves (10.62) seed (14.12 q/ha), Stover (35.42 q/ha). While among levels, (36.19 cm), (6.06), (10.01) higher (12.55 q/ha) (31.85 Among economics, combined kg/ produced net returns Benefit Cost. Thus, found to be most promising treatment enhancing growth gram.
